Dreamforce: Humans are the $7bn glitch. Solution: Think less.

As 50,000 sentient carbon-based units descend upon Salesforce’s annual Dreamforce festivities, the enterprise software behemoth has unveiled its boldest initiative yet to combat the insidious "$7 billion glitch" plaguing modern business: the human element. Indeed, after decades of inconveniently sentient lifeforms introducing unpredictable variables into finely tuned algorithms, the industry finally has a solution. It involves less "thought" and more "process automation," naturally. The company’s latest volley of Artificial Intelligence agents, apparently, will perform all the tasks previously muddled by pesky things like intuition, empathy, or the occasional coffee break.

One must admire the elegant simplicity. If humans are the problem, then eradicate the humans from the equation. Or, at least, outsource their cognitive load to a silicon-based surrogate. This grand vision promises a future where entire operational frameworks hum along with flawless, emotionless efficiency, presumably making entirely new, entirely unexplainable errors at machine speed. The pursuit of perfect digital servitude continues, as Salesforce champions a world where the most expensive bug is, refreshingly, no longer us.
