Dominion Lawsuit Cites Fox's Standard Operational Procedures

Defamation suit. Expected a quick, tidy affair? Bless your heart.

The ongoing legal tango between Dominion Voting Systems and a prominent cable news juggernaut has, predictably, hit a snag. A judge declared the delay "not unusual," which is truly reassuring to anyone who assumed that multibillion-dollar defamation suits over thoroughly debunked claims would be a swift and tidy affair. Apparently, untangling a network’s alleged penchant for broadcast fiction requires more than a simple flick of the truth switch. One might even suggest it's now standard operational procedure for modern media to occasionally find itself in court over, shall we say, "creative" reporting.

One might imagine a bustling legal team sifting through a mountain of alleged inaccuracies, perhaps wondering if the twenty cited instances of malfeasance from Fox News are merely the appetizer of a much broader menu. Meanwhile, the persistent echo chamber of election lies continues to reverberate, seemingly immune to the legal machinations attempting to introduce accountability. One almost feels sorry for the truth, left to wander the digital wilderness while the trial grinds on, probably delaying crucial revelations until everyone has forgotten what they were fighting about.
